Program Name: M.U.S.I.C. On Tour – One-Day Music Industry Experience

Duration: 1 day

Objective: To provide students with a condensed, immersive experience in the live music industry by joining a band on a small tour. Participants will gain practical insights into various roles involved in live music shows, from setup to performance.

Curriculum:

Morning Session: Preparation and Load-In

  1. Introduction to Tour: Overview of the day’s schedule, band members, and roles.
  2. Load-In Procedures: Explanation of equipment loading and unloading, organization, and safety measures.
  3. Setting Up Sound and Lighting: Participants learn about basic sound system setup, connecting microphones, instruments, and positioning lighting equipment.
  4. Stage Layout: Understanding stage setup, equipment placement, and creating an efficient working space.

Afternoon Session: Behind-the-Scenes Experience
